Best Bicep WorkoutOf all of the different muscles of the body, it seems that the bicep muscles get a lot of the attention whenever it comes to the way a man looks. As a matter of fact, there are very few other muscles of the body that have as many nicknames as the bicep muscles. Regardless of whether you call them pythons or if you call them guns, however, finding a way to effectively work them out is going to go a long way to helping you to look your very best.

Before I get into the best bicep workout and our top three choices, I want to tell you that it really doesn’t matter what type of bicep exercise you are doing, is going to be a curling motion that actually utilizes this muscle and helps it to grow. Although there are several different exercises that you can do in order to work the biceps directly, it is really just a curling motion in another variation. That being said, it does help to hit the biceps from several different directions and to do a variety of different exercises in order to make sure that you’re growing consistently.

Our favorite bicep exercise workout is the preacher curl. The reason why we enjoy this so much is because it gives us the opportunity to use and free weights and also because it isolates the upper part of the arm which makes the entire exercise more effective. For those that simply do curls standing up, the tendency is to swing the body and to move the upper arms, giving you a little bit of momentum that will help you to move the weight up. Although you may be able to do more repetitions, those repetitions are going to mean less if you don’t have proper form.

Another type of bicep exercise is similar to the preacher curl but it utilizes each of the bicep muscles individually. Concentration curls are done with dumbbells and instead of resting your upper arm on the platform, you rest it on the inside of your thigh. This effectively helps to immobilize the upper arm and gives you better form, making each and every repetition mean the most and allowing you to gain the most muscle.

Finally, you may want to forego the direct bicep exercises and do some multi-joint exercises instead. There are several different exercises that not only work the area of the body that they were intended to work, they also give you a solid bicep workout as well. Not only are you going to be able to see additional growth in other areas of your body, you will also be able to get more of a workout done in less time. This time can either be spent doing something else that you enjoy, or doing extra exercises in the gym.
